A really emotional place! Really reminds you of how many people have paid the ultimate cost for our country! Little irrating that they are out of room, and they found room to bury some congress woman who protested the wars. But whatever

My visit to the Memorial Cemetary in Honolulu
By Char, 04/28/08
I went last October to the cemetary. I was 2 years old (and I am 65 years old now) when my father Bill was killed in a shipping accident during WWII in Hawaii. I had wanted to viist there my whole life. My daughter, age 37, my granddaughter age 6, a friend of mine and my daughter's husband went together. We put flowers on my father's ...
This is a good tour for those on a budget or those who like history. Dont bother w/ the bus tours if you have rented a car you can drive yourself there for free. Just get a good map! The lookout over Honolulu is beautiful.

A Beautiful and Peaceful Cemetery
By Kit, 10/11/07
This cemetery is absolutely beautiful with so much history within. When a memorial ceremony takes place, so many come to show love and appreciation for our military loved ones who've passed. The pride of the military definitely is thick in the air of this cemetery.
The bathrooms are very clean. The monument and history wall are high above ...

What a beautiful place. My family and I enjoyed the walk to the top of the stairs, the chapel at the top as well as viewing the maps of the various battles. The view from the top is amazing.

National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl, Honolulu
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/17/06
We went up here after hearing about this at the USS Arizona memorial. The drive was really nice, with views all along the way. It was November and the flowers were in full bloom. The cemetery was very peacful, as it should be. We were wondering what to do at first and then we found the memorials with names listed from WWII. There are 10's of ...
This cemetary is beautifully set in an extinct crater of a volcano. You arrive there and cannot believe that this place is in fact a cemetary. The monuments there are terrific and the view from the top of the memorial is wonderful. you can see all of honolulu and waikiki from up there.
