    We followed the Civil War trails and this was one of the best stops we made. This place is amazing and beautiful. We have never seen a cemetery like this before and were taken by it's serene views and magnificant head stones and monuments. So glad this part of history will live on forever.

  • Walking Through History

    Visited Richmond, from Mississippi last week. Hollywood Cemetery is a must see for history buffs. With two US Presidents and the President of the CSA burried here it is a must see. The Confederate section is unbelievable.

    It is well worth your time to visit this old Cemetery.

    Historical old style cemetary. Lots of quaint and amusing epithets on the stones, civil war heros and not so famous. I only had a few hours, but I hope to get back. Beautiful peaceful and thought provoking

  • Love to visit every year!

    I love Hollywood Cemetery! I live in Richmond and can visit whenever I want. It is a really nice peaceful place with a great sense of diverse architecture. Its like walking through time and loaded with history lessons. I love to tell people I have ancestors buried in an historical landmark!

  • Spooky Confederate History with Great Views

    This quirky corner of Richmond, Virginia is great for a thrifty date or weekend outing. There are lots of winding paths, great views, statuary and opportunities to learn some US history. Tens of thousands of fallen Confederate soilders rest here, in an area of the cemetary dominated by a Giant stone pyramid. If you believe in 'haunted' ...
