Everyone in Richmond knows the Byrd. The seats are tightly spaced together (not too comfy) and the floor is often sticky but we still love it. The price is dirt cheap and it's a great theater with vintage style. The chandelier and organist make it all worthwhile.

What's not to like? It is a unique treasure that certainly merits a visit. I have several friends that agree that this is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. It has a cool atmosphere, although it's completely different than the big theatres like short pump--but if you like the movie that's play it's great because it's only two dollars!..it's a great place to go when you want to get out but don't want to spend a lot of money!
