Best fries I've ever had in my life. I'm still having crazings from visiting last year and plan on going back to the big island soon to get my fill.

If you ever vacation in the big island of Hawaii, you HAVE TO eat at Ken's House of Pancakes! Whether you're looking to try "local food" or you're wanting to eat something that's typically American, this place can accomodate you!

What caught my eye the 1st time I was there during JAN07 trip was the breakfast dish called ...

My husband and I had breakfast this morning at Ken's, he ordered the Loco Moco and I ordered the Top of the Morning Waffle with two over easy eggs. The eggs were not cooked well and the waffle had a sour taste to it. After three bites I asked my husband to taste it and he said it had a bitter taste as if there was too much salt or the batter ...

Always busy, hard to get a parking space during mealtimes, add rain and you can swim to the front door... otherwise, the food is good, hot, service is usually outstanding, prices are decent... specials are usually exceptional. You have to visit Ken's when in Hilo!

When waiting for our rental car at Hilo airport the associate behind the counter recommended we start our vacation with a good meal. She directed us to Ken's. Very skeptical we gave it a try. A week later we had eaten there every day at various times of the day. It was impossible to cover the whole menu but we tried. Don't miss it in Hilotown. It's worth the wait for a parking space.

Great menue. Good food. Open always. Don't go during breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's too crowded.

This is a good place to eat morning, noon, night and even midnight.
