The weather is good at times, but it does rain in southern Cali.the atmosphere is for a more older(senior citizen)type of crowd. Great for family's and young couples.

Very disappointed!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/30/06
We stayed at Super 8 Motel Seaworld, 445 Hotel Circle South, San Diego, CA early August. We had a travel agent make the reservations and requested 1st floor because my husband is handicapped. When we arrived at this Motel 8, the desk clerk hardly spoke English and was not interested in trying to make us understand what he was telling us. When he ...

America's Finest City? I Think Not!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/19/08
Choking Smog - Overcrowded Freeways - Gangland Warfare - Price Gouging at Every Merchant - Clueless Locals - Dirty Beaches - Bland Restaurants. San Diego is vastly overrated.

Going to the beach, Sea World, or the Zoo? You may get a ticket!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/04/08
San Diego is beautiful. However, dig deeper, and you will find a battle between freedom fighters and freedom stoppers. There is no smoking, drinking, littering, or parking at the beach... even at Sea World and the Zoo. You can be cited for being in the parking lot and lighting up, or parking in the wrong place. It's just another way for the ...

There was a snobish aura that eminates from all of downtown, but you look around and you're like whats here? whats the big deal? Its like 5 blocks ...

I'm from Arizona and while it's an ok summer getaway it's just not my style. There are some nice things to do like go to coronado beach seaport village is alright and some pretty good ...

The Good Thing's The Zoo
By Claire, 06/21/05
When going to San Diego, the one and only attraction would be the Zoo. Very well maintained. It was amazing to see the Pandas and I enjoyed my trip there. Watch out for loose bowels in the bird room though! A few people (including me) were unfortunately a target of an exotic bird! Otherwise, San Diego is a dirty city, from what I saw of it.
This is a great place to visit with your family (Sea World, Zoo, Wild Animal Park, beaches). But in my opinion, it's not great for a romantic getaway. Balboa Park was a pleasant place to stroll but Gas lamp district and Old Town were tacky.
