I agree with most of the previous reviewers who raved about the Old Mill's food, service, and atmosphere. All things considered, it is very good. And let me say that it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to find a better pecan pie than what they serve at the Old Mill restaurant.

Breakfast and dinner can't be beat!!!!!!!!!!!!! I recently saw a show on Food TV about the best fried chicken in the country, and for some reason The Old Mill was left off, my only question is WHY? Went there for lunch with a family of 5. Very good quality home style traditional southern cooking in a rustic but airy, open atmosphere. Food is very heavy as most southern food is and is not for the health conscious or for those on a diet. I found this restaurant on yahoo travel and decided to try it out. It really did live up to its reputation. The wait was about an hour but it was well worth it. We got in and the staff was very friendly and personable. The food was sooooo good. You start out with corn fritters, corn chowder and a salad. We've eaten here for years. It is located in a historic (and still working) 170+ year old grist mill. There is also an interesting souvenir store attached. You are dining right on the banks with great views of the Little Pigeon River. This is STILL the best down-home meat and vegetables country cooking in the area.

Awesome beyond measure. If you love down home country cookin. Then you will absolutely fall head over heals with this romantic and scenic restaurant. Come any time for any meal and you will be enchanted. Love it or Love it. Eat here when you are in Pigeon Forge and you will not be sorry. Let me know if I am wrong. Pecan Pie is just to much for words. ^_^
