Yama is by far the best sushi restaraunt in Va. Beach. The service is great and the food is delicious. Must try the sunset roll if you like spicy salmon. My husband prefers the asahi roll(has fried oyster in it). We typically visit at least 2-3 times a month and have never been disappointed, usually get a roll and dessert on the house. The miso soup and seaweed salad are also a favorite.

Yama was the first sushi restaurant i have ever been to. I was pleasantly suprised when i really enjoyed it. i was very pleased with their service. everyone is very friendly and its a big plus to get a free roll in as well, it gives you a chance to try something new that you wouldnt think about trying. 2 thumbs up!!!

This place really is the best sushi place in Virginia Beach! The rolls are all so delicious, the best so far being the candy cane roll, and they have so many to choose from. The service is awesome and they usually always throw in some free rolls! If you haven't been here you are totally missing out!

This place is great, fantastic sushi! It's a little easier on your wallet than most sushi bars and you get a lot for the price you pay. The inside is nice and bright and the staff is very quick and friendly. (Try the ocean roll!!)

One of the best sushi places in Tidewater when they first opened. Excellent variety and presentation. However, once word got out and they got busy - the wait for a meal was often over an hour (happened to me 3 times). They just expanded, and I haven't been back since then, so hopefully they have added enough sushi chefs and wait staff to solve that problem.

I have been to probably every Sushi place in Virginia Beach and by far this place has to have the best sush ever. If you have a chance try it you will not regret it. The Christmas tree is the best roll they have and the eel is the best. I have never been here without getting a free Volcano roll. One word AWESOME.

Yama is tucked away as a little hole in the wall, but the service, food and prices are EXCELLENT! My favorite spot in VA Beach!
