I'm from California and go to Nacho Mama's when I need a taste of "home." The Chili Rellenos are the best in this area!

Daily drink specials, like $3 Margaritas on Tuesdays. 3-7 pm Happy Hour every day with drafts at $1.25 and highballs for $2.50. Great food. Mexican with nice American touches. Very friendly staff. Open and airy, not smokey. Also, a patio. I can drink at the bar with my buddies during happy hour. Some nights I bring my family and it is great for kids. Good place for a larger group of people also. Try it!

Nacho Mama's is, but isn't like your typical Mexican restaurant. It's a colorful place and the food is good, as most Mexican restaurants are, but Jose won't wait on you, and it just don't have the vibe of a Mexican spot. It's in Carytown, afterall.
