I'm very disappointed. I was expecting better. I am from Cuban descent and it wasn't even close. What disappointed me was the food was very bland. No flavor and when they said they serve tostones with the food it wasn't. They served maduros. Which tostones are hard but instead they served soft sweet plaintains which r maduros. ...

Crowded, dumpy, exotic
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/19/07
I had been to Kuba Kuba only once, which may not be enough to either recommend or not recommend their service, atmosphere or food to any degree of accuracy. But I can say this; I had never had a Cuban sandwich in my life until my visit. It was crusty and sweetly hot, and like nothing I have ever had before or since. I would recommend Kuba Kuba ...

Big, but Bland

Okay, let's start this off by saying I am not a huge fan of Cuban food. I lived in Miami, and got a great deal of exposure to Cuban food. I ordered seafood paella. The size of the dish was impressive. I am a huge eater, and I did not finish my dinner. There was also an impressive amount of seafood in the dish. That said, most of the ...

Happy Birthday to ME
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/15/06
My most favorite friends brought me here for my birthday last year and as a new gal in town I didn't know what to expect. Yummy~ The food was amazing and the wine was delicious. A cozy atmosphere at a pretty descent price. ( I wouldn't really know, I didn't pay). I am looking forward to this annual tradition!

Cuban

A lunch date and my first experience eating Cuban food. I must say I was impressed. I had the Kuban Roasted Pork, black beans and rice. It was delicious and plentiful. This is a casual and quaint restaurant. I would say this is a place to visit for anyone who wants something different and/or likes cuban food. One thing I didnt care for was the wait and they were not busy, but once we had the attention of the waitress she was helpful.

We ate there last week. I had one of their paella dishes which I thought was bland, but the clams, shrimp and mussels were good. My wife had the roasted pork with black beans and rice. The roasted pork was delicious. As were the fried plantains that came with that dish. Both dishes were very large. For dessert we had the Luz del Sol which was ...

The food here is excellent - I especially like the cafe con leche, fried plantains, roast pork omelet and the portobello panini. However, I would avoid Kuba Kuba if you are going to meet someone afterwards or going to a social engagement like church because you leave smelling like the a Cuban's armpit.

Food is great. First time I had fried plantains and I was sold. Service is a little slow and I did see a little cockroach once, but I keep coming back for the great food in huge portions.

Kuba Kuba rocks!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/06/05
Fun small place-emphasis on small-but funky. The food is Cuban-American and really good. Great for Sunday brunch and the Tres Leche cake is not to be missed!
