  • SERVICE STINKS
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/04/05
The last two times I ordered food they told me they couldn't help me! The first time they were changing grease and not serving ANY food, and next time they weren't taking any orders because they already had too many take out orders. Ridiculous.

  • Not Enough Space
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/06
The food is good but the wait time can be frustrating, especially during the lunch hour. I hope they expand or consider a second location with ample parking and seating.

Yesterday while waiting for a table I met a nice couple that had recently moved to central Virginia. So sometimes the wait can be beneficial to networking.

  • Soulfood Seafood...
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/23/05
If you love seafood and soulfood, this is the spot for you. The menus has plenty of delicious choices...my favorite being the fish & grits...which comes with a huge block of cornbread and cabbage! The atmosphere is cozy...and you may have to wait 20-30 minutes for a table, but it is well worth it...and the desserts...MARVELOUS!! Best bet is to go ...

  • Same taste of Eggleston's
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/23/06
When Croaker's Spot was Eggleston's across the street, I ate there once, sometimes twice a week for lunch since I worked close by. People don't expect to ...

The food and service is great but the wait time and the amount of space is horrible. I can see the idea but now that hte business has grown so much they may want to consider a second location or remodeling to make more room.

  • Makes being away from home easier!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/24/07
I adopted this as "My Spot". The place I take friends to when they come to town. I'm a native of Chicago who had a hard time adjusting to the region after leaving all of my family behind for a new job. This place takes me back to Moms house on a Sunday after church service. The food is great and the atmoshphere is even better. Dont change anything! Keep it down-home... Whats up Theresa! I'll drop by soon! :) LOL!

  • Croaker Spot Slipping
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/07
My first dining experience at the Croaker Spot want great. Great food and quaint surroundings made it one of my favorite places. However, my last experience wasn't the same. I encountered mediocre food and loud clashing pans.

Only thing I have to say is I wish it was larger so you wouldn't have to wait so long to eat. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT food!
