  • ALWAYS busy - 3.5
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/06
It doesn't matter what time you go to Jamaica House, it's ALWAYS busy. They do a pretty good job of accommodating the amount of traffic by taking orders, filling them, and cashing out pretty quickly, but the order area is too small and the number of dine-in tables too few to really accommodate adequately. The food is consistent. It's ...

  • Love at Firtst Bite
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/05
The one reason i love this restaurant is because i met the man in my life there. The way the lights shined against his dark chocolate skin made my heart pump like a pipe under pressure. The food made it even more romantic because it was my first time ever going there. So how ironic that i would meet the love of my life on my first visit. So of course i eat there alot now. Thanks alot " Jamaica House "

  • Genuine Jamaican Experience

If you like spicy food - this is the place to go. You can get your fresh cocoa bread, fresh cooked food (always hot), and a fresh jamaican patties on any given day. (IF YOU GET HEARTBURN EASY - THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU)

The food is always excellent with one exception. I order a large ox-tail every time I come in and fried plantains are not always included. Do they or do they not come with the meal?

Island spice, reggae rhythms and a true flair for Jamaican food: three reasons to overlook the dingy digs.Get blasted by the boom box reggae sounds the minute you walk in the door of this Broad Street hole-in-the wall. Don't expect frills--with only five small tables and a huge takeout business, the speedy staff manages to juggle it all with ...

  • The Absolute Best Small Place in Town!!!!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/05/06
The food is the best in town. My first experience was whem one of my friends offered me some ox tails. I thought the food looked funny, but once I tried the food I had to have somemore immediately. The food at this resturant is seasoned to perfection. This experience was one year ago in February, and I eaten at this place twice a week since I first tried it.

  • I eat here often
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/30/06
I have been eating here since they opened in I believe 1991. Sometmes I eat here 2-3 times a week. I have tried just about everything on the menu and it is all very very good. I say expand, knock out that wall and make it bigger for the growing number of customers. The people that work here have always been nice and friendly.
